The Unit Supervisor Quality is responsible for supervising and driving improvements in the quality of all aspects of the warehouse and postponement operations. This role oversees a team of approximately 12 to 16 hourly associates across 2 shifts including 3 to 4 team leads ensuring both operational excellence and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
Leadership & Development: Supervise train and develop associates including performance reviews budget management and headcount planning. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures across all departments.
Quality & Safety Oversight: Lead project improvements in safety quality productivity and cost. Ensure that all safety and departmental requirements are consistently met.
Performance Metrics: Maintain and communicate quality goals indicators and targets in line with PTNA directives. Measure and report key metrics such as DQ (Warehouse Quality Metrics) productivity and customer satisfaction. Act as a key point of contact with customers Bosch leaders and counterparts at other locations to ensure alignment on quality standards.
Continuous Improvement: Implement lean initiatives to enhance processes and procedures eliminate waste and standardize work. Conduct root cause analyses and establish corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to ISO standards and internal corporate and customer compliance audits.
Additional Projects: Handle miscellaneous duties and special projects as needed to support overall business objectives.
This role is essential to maintaining quality standards within the West Memphis Distribution Center and driving continuous improvement across operations.
Qualifications :
Direct Supervisory Experience:
Proven experience in directly supervising teams with a focus on fostering team development and driving performance improvements.
Quality Manufacturing or Engineering Expertise:
Indepth knowledge of quality manufacturing or engineering functions including experience with statistical process control methods and the management of data and reporting systems.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Windows Excel PowerPoint Word) and experience with systems like SAP Blue Yonder or other warehouse management systems (WMS).
Communication & Leadership:
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with all levels of management. Must be comfortable working crossfunctionally within the facility.
Bosch Quality System Knowledge:
Familiarity with Bosch quality systems processes and procedures is essential.
Educational Requirements:
Required: Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technology or Business.
Preferred: Postgraduate degree in Engineering Technology or Business.
