BMC is seeking a highly qualified dynamic and dedicated individual to join our Nursing Program as a Faculty Member in Pediatric Nursing. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of pediatric nursing courses foster the academic and professional growth of nursing students and engage in research and service within the college and wider healthcare community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Deliver highquality instruction in pediatric nursing theory clinical practice and related topics. Develop and update course materials syllables and assessments.
- Student Support: Mentor and advise undergraduate and/or graduate nursing students. Provide academic guidance conduct regular office hours and promote student success.
- Clinical Practice: Supervise students in pediatric clinical settings ensuring the integration of classroom knowledge with practical skills in diverse healthcare environments.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the continuous improvement and updating of the pediatric nursing curriculum to reflect the latest research best practices and regulatory standards.
- Research & Scholarship: Engage in scholarly activities including research publications and presentations in the field of pediatric nursing. Seek external funding for research projects where applicable.
- Service: Participate in faculty meetings committees and other servicerelated activities within the nursing department and college. Engage in community outreach or professional service relevant to pediatric nursing.
Requirements
Educational Requirements:
- A Master s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing (DNP or Ph.D.) is required.
- A specialization or certification in pediatric nursing is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in pediatric nursing.
- Prior teaching experience in a nursing program is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations and foster an inclusive engaging learning environment.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing practice and evidencebased care.
- Ability to effectively integrate technology into teaching and clinical practice.
