Assistant General Counsel I Preclinical Research Contracts Team
An experienced attorney is sought to join a Preclinical Research Contracting team. In this role you will support and advise scientific and research leaders contributing to advancing the mission of ending cancer through legal expertise in research contracts.
Role Overview
- Contract Management: Independently draft review negotiate and manage agreements for all types of research relationships and transactions.
- Relationship Building: Update and develop strong working relationships with investigators and other internal stakeholders.
- Guidance Documents: Develop and implement contract guidance documents workflows policies SOPs and tools for managing agreements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the legal team to address legal business and institutional issues.
- Special Projects: Contribute to special legal projects and initiatives assigned by leadership.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Juris Doctor with active bar membership in good standing.
- Experience: 46 years of experience drafting reviewing and negotiating substantive research contracts including sponsored and collaborative research agreements materials and data transfer agreements consortium and data registry agreements and license agreements ideally in an academic or nonprofit institution in a highvolume environment.
- Knowledge: Expertise in contract law intellectual property issues and research or healthcare transactions.
