Contracts Associate II Research Contracts Team
An opportunity is available for a Contracts Associate II to join a Research Contracting team providing support and advice to scientific and research leaders and contributing to the overall mission of advancing cancer research through legal expertise in research contracts.
Role Overview
- Contract Management: Independently manage contracts from creation to execution.
- Agreement Review: Review negotiate finalize and amend agreement terms and conditions to align with institutional policies with minimal direction from legal counsel.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate and provide updates to internal stakeholders as requested.
- System Maintenance: Maintain and update relevant contract systems and databases.
- Support Development: Assist in the development and implementation of contract guidance documents workflows policies and tools for tracking and managing agreements.
- Special Projects: Assist with special projects and other jobrelated activities as assigned.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Juris Doctor with 02 years of experience preferred; will consider candidates with 24 years of relevant experience without JD.
- Experience: Experience in reviewing and negotiating research contracts (e.g. Materials Transfer Agreements Data Transfer Agreements Amendments and other academic researchrelated agreements) preferably in an academic or nonprofit institution.
- Interest: Demonstrated interest in science research and/or healthcare.

- Communication: Ability to develop facilitate and orchestrate effective communication with all team members including research staff administrators and institutional leaders.
