Job Description

  • Position: KYC Gap Assessment Analyst
  • Location: London England United Kingdom
  • Employment Type: Contractual

Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical individual to join our team as a KYC Gap Assessment Analyst. In this role you will evaluate Know Your Customer (KYC) processes and frameworks identify gaps and recommend enhancements to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires expertise in AML/CFT regulations risk management and the ability to communicate findings effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gap Assessment & Analysis:

    • Review and analyze existing KYC policies procedures and practices to identify gaps against regulatory and industry standards.
    • Conduct detailed assessments of customer onboarding due diligence and ongoing monitoring processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensure alignment of KYC processes with local and global AML/CFT regulations including FATF recommendations and relevant local laws.
    • Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on KYC practices.
  • Reporting & Recommendations:

    • Prepare comprehensive gap assessment reports detailing findings risk areas and actionable recommendations for improvement.
    • Present assessment results to management and relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with compliance operations and technology teams to implement recommended changes.
    • Provide input to the design and enhancement of KYC tools and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training & Awareness:

    • Support training initiatives by sharing insights on identified gaps and promoting awareness of KYC best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration Risk Management or a related field. A relevant certification (e.g. CAMS ICA) is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 05 years of experience in KYC/AML compliance risk assessment or a similar role.
  • Proven track record in conducting KYC gap assessments and regulatory compliance reviews.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations and KYC requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Proficiency in using KYC/AML tools and software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
