Job Description
Job Title: Database Architect
Location: Los Angeles CA (Remote )
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Architect to manage and optimize our database storage infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in preparing and initializing storage devices as well as proficiency in managing and customizing storage spaces using Oracle management software. This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency scalability and reliability of our database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Storage Device Management: Prepare initialize and configure storage devices to support database requirements.
- Database Customization: Design manage and customize database storage spaces using Oracle management tools.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance ensuring efficient use of storage resources.
- Data Integrity and Security: Implement best practices for data integrity backup and security within the database infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve databaserelated issues ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaboration: Work closely with system administrators application developers and other stakeholders to align database strategies with organizational goals.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for database configurations processes and storage systems.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in storage device preparation and initialization.
- Handson experience managing and customizing storage spaces using Oracle management software.
- Strong understanding of database architecture storage systems and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of database backup recovery and disaster recovery practices.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Oracle Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional OCP).
- Experience with additional database management systems (e.g. SQL Server MySQL).
- Familiarity with cloudbased database solutions and storage technologies.
