Job Description
MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST (MT) / MEDICAL LAB TECHNOLOGIST (MLT)
Position Summary: This position is responsible for analysis of biological specimens in the laboratory including comprehensive knowledge of collecting specimens (such as venipuncture or collecting hazardous or infectious materials for culture). Prepares reagents organizes daily workload and performs quality control. Appraises results to distinguish normal and abnormal values performs calculations prepares and distributes written LIS and verbal reports. Performs preventative maintenance of instruments trouble shooting methodologies and teaches new technologists. Maintains daily and monthly workload and inventory of reagents and materials. Enters data into LIS as required. Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Requirement description :
- 1 Year of Experience Required
- ASCP or AMT Required
- Bachelors Degree Required
- ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer / Please obtain this information prior to submittal / Requests after offer can be cause for rescinded offer)
- Work History
- Skills Checklist current to 1 year pertinent to the specialty
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms taken within the last two years
- Licensure & Certifications (MI State License/Lara & BLS AHA & ACLS AHA NIHSS)
- Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates 50 mile radius restriction)

- Michigan
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Active at the time of Submission
