However the candidate may be required to come onsite for work in the Raleigh office when onsite works is required.The NC Administrative Office of the Courts (NCAOC) Technology Services Division (TSD) seeks a qualified Windows Server Administrator to assist with management administration and maintenance of NCAOC Virtualized Server environment. This position provides 24x7x365 operational support for 30000 Judicial and nonJudicial branch users across the state. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Azure AdministrationoManage and deploy Azure solutions.oExperience with troubleshooting and resolving Azure servicerelated issues.oExperience managing deploying and configuring Azure VMs.oExperience managing deploying and configuring Azure Storage resources.oExperience with Azure vulnerability management. Windows Server AdministrationoManage operation health and security of a Virtual Server environment.oResearch Vulnerability Notices when received and work with affected areas for patch or workaround deployment. oAssist with management and maintenance of physical datacenter infrastructure. oRespond to Monitoring System Alerts. Active Directory User AdministrationoManage Users and Groups.oProvide Users access to requested resources. General AdministrationoPerform troubleshooting root cause analysis and performance benchmarking.oProvide support for issues ranging from singleuser issues to systemwide problems.oAssist with periodic testing of disaster preparedness for the NC Judicial Center Data Center.The person in this position reports to the Distributed Computing Manager. Work hours are 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Monday Friday plus oncall responsibilities as scheduled.Knowledge Skills and Abilities / CompetenciesKnowledge of windows server operating systems physical server infrastructure virtual servers virtualization technologies and infrastructure support tools. Skills in managing supporting and monitoring server hardware operating systems and software in a primarily Windowsbased environment. Ability to manage and monitor windows servers in a virtualized environment; Assure existing systems are functioning properly and processing effectively according to the objectives; Troubleshoot common server issues with servers and software in a primarily Windowsbased environment; Perform administration tasks in Active Directory. Assist faculty and management staff in the analysis of vulnerability alert management. Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsBachelors degree in computer science or another related information technology field and four (4) years of IT related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Management recommends that candidates have at least three (3) years of directly related experience in Windows Server Management three (3) years of directly related experience to Physical Server Management. Management requires candidates with: Strong experience with Microsoft PowerShell tool scripting. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory. Physical server management experience with CISCO UCS Servers Any Enterprise Storage platform experience EMC a plus Cloud services management experience preferably Azure and AWS. knowledge of common security standards such as PCI FERPA and NIST. familiarity with NC Statewide security standards.Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus. PRIMARY TASK OBJECTIVES FOR CONTRACTOR (may overlap)1.) Azure Vulnerability Alert assistance Team receives vulnerability mitigation tasks related to our Azure environment from our Information Security Office referencing potential vulnerabilities. This position will work with the DCS Supervisor & MS Architect to review and address these regular bulletins from various avenues referencing new security vulnerability alerts. These alerts will be directed to this position and they will work with the DCS Security Engineer to research them to: 1.) Determine if issued alerts are applicable to our environment. 2.) Determine if we already have protections in place.3.) Determine impact of reported vulnerability. 4.) Notify appropriate DCS Engineer in case they aren t already aware. 2.) Access Request Assistance Team receives a large amount of access requests to various resources. This position will assist with fulfilling these requests as quickly as possible when able. If not they will route requests to appropriate DCS engineer for fulfillment and notify them. 3.) Other tasks assigned to assist with the management of the Windows Server Virtual Environment.
