Location: Halifax NS

Job Description:
- As a pivotal leader in our cybersecurity initiatives the Senior Scrum Master / Product Owner will facilitate and guide the development of critical security products. This role combines the rigorous task management of a Scrum Master with the strategic vision of a Product Owner tailored towards enhancing our cybersecurity posture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sprint Planning and Management: Facilitate sprint planning reviews retrospectives and daily standups to ensure clarity and productivity among the team.
- Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the product backlog focusing on critical cybersecurity enhancements and ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between cybersecurity teams and other stakeholders ensuring requirements are clearly understood and met.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and address cybersecurity risks associated with product development.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the scrum process and product impact on cybersecurity posture.
Performance Indicators:
- Sprint Success Rate: Measured by the percentage of sprints successfully meeting planned objectives.
- Backlog Health: Regular assessment of backlog items to ensure they are relevant prioritized and estimated accurately.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Measured through regular feedback loops with project stakeholders.
- Risk Mitigation Effectiveness: Frequency and impact of cybersecurity risks pre and postmitigation efforts.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor degree in computer science or related field.
- 10 year experience as a scrum master/product owner within the cyber security domain.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and technologies.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Product Owner (CPO) or equivalent.
- Excellent communication leadership and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
