Position: Sr. Data Engineer
Location: Toronto ON (Hybrid)
Duration : 1 year
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced GeoSpatial Lead Analyst with 10 to 12 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and handson experience with Azure Synapse Azure Data Factory ETL Azure Data Lake Azure Data Lake Store and Azure Databricks. This hybrid role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced environment. The position does not require travel and operates during day shifts.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of geospatial data solutions using Azure Synapse ensuring optimal performance and scalability. Oversee the development and maintenance of ETL processes using Azure Data Factory to ensure efficient data integration and transformation. Provide expertise in managing and optimizing data storage solutions within Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Lake Store. Utilize Azure Databricks to perform advanced data analytics and machine learning tasks driving actionable insights from geospatial data. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data governance and validation processes. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data processes and solutions. Mentor and guide junior analysts fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of geospatial analytics. Conduct regular performance reviews and optimizations to ensure data solutions meet business needs. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for datarelated issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for geospatial data management and analytics. Communicate effectively with stakeholders presenting complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
