Electrical Project Engineer

Roles and responsibilities

Should lead the team and perform the services for all the electrical assets and equipment.
Should have experience working in Qatar and should be aware about Km regulations
Practical site work experience in testing and commissioning of HV, LV Switch gears, transformers, relay control panels, 'Motors, capacitor Banks, Cables etc
Should be responsible for leading document reviews related to the commissioning program, construction site inspections and system testing.
Should have sound knowledge and capable to handle the specialized testing services
Should be responsible for the activities related to the services providing by the team.
Should have enough experience in trouble shoots for the related fields.
Project Planning and Design

Develop electrical designs, layouts, and schematics based on project requirements.
Review project specifications, standards, and codes to ensure compliance.
Create detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
Technical Expertise

Perform electrical calculations, such as load analysis, circuit design, and power distribution.
Select appropriate equipment, materials, and technologies for the project.
Provide technical guidance and solutions during all project phases.
Project Execution

Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and other team members to ensure work aligns with design specifications.
Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Compliance and Safety

Ensure that all electrical systems comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
Promote and enforce safety protocols on-site to protect workers and equipment.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.

Desired candidate profile

Should have written and verbal communication skills in English
Should possess good leadership quality to monitor the work force
Should have knowledge in RFLITP & TBT delivery.

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB).
Project Management: Strong ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively.
Problem-Solving: Capable of diagnosing and resolving technical and logistical challenges.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in designs, calculations, and documentation.
Knowledge

In-depth understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
Familiarity with industry standards, such as IEEE, IEC, and NEC codes.
Knowledge of renewable energy systems and sustainable electrical solutions.
Certifications (Optional)

Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
OSHA or equivalent safety certification.
