Role Overview
As a SWM Lead youll play a pivotal role in our Solid Waste Management project. Were in search of a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead social behavior change communication work with the system to streamline waste collection system and oversee aspects related to waste workers. Your expertise will be vital in driving these initiatives making a positive impact on our community and environment.
Core Responsibilities
Behavior Change
- Planning and strategizing for large scale citywide behavior changes campaigns to ensure waste segregation
- Conducting Mobilization activities to generate awareness amongst all age groups
- Build model areas societies wards institutions in terms of waste practices
- Creating waste champions and project ambassadors across city
- Creating systems and processes for sustainable waste practices
- Deploy monitoring mechanism to continuously monitor the outcomes
Collection System
- Collaborating with sanitation staff to streamline collection system
- Optimizing the quantum of waste coming in from across property units Residential commercials institutions etc. (wet and dry)
- Monitor the material throughput via technology and do course correction wherever required
- Ensuring no waste is reaching the landfills or is being dumped at any random points within/outside the city
- Foster innovative / experimental solutions to ensure contextualized end of life process. solutions for the citys dry and wet
- Prepare reports proposals and data sheets to manage the Waste management process
Sanitation Workers
- Allocate and Map sanitation workers to all the team members
- Monitor the project outcomes/deliverables/standards meant for sanitation workers
- Strategize and course correct to ensure adherence to all the project aspects

Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Social Work or a relevant field.
- 45 years of experience in social development projects preferably related to waste management and community mobilization.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in team management.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
