A Leading Technology based company is seeking an experienced US Accounting Executive .
The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the daytoday accounting functions focusing on USbased financial transactions regulatory compliance and reporting.
This role requires strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) tax laws and familiarity with financial reporting systems. The US Accounting Executive will ensure that financial records are accurate and comply with legal and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting:
- Manage daytoday accounting operations including the preparation and maintenance of general ledgers.
- Perform monthly quarterly and yearend closing activities ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements accounts and other financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements (balance sheet profit and loss statement and cash flow) in compliance with US GAAP.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with auditors during annual audits and ensure financial statements meet audit requirements.
Tax Compliance & Filing:
- Manage the preparation and filing of US federal state and local tax returns (income sales and payroll taxes).
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations including quarterly and annual filings.
- Support tax planning providing accurate information to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing and accurate recording of transactions.
- Review and process invoices payments and collections ensuring proper accounting treatment.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up with clients and vendors as necessary to ensure timely payments.
Reconciliations and Audit Preparation:
- Perform monthly reconciliations of all accounts ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved.
- Support the preparation of documents and schedules required for internal and external audits.
- Assist in the preparation of yearend financial reports and provide backup documentation.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Ensure the company adheres to accounting policies procedures and internal controls.
- Review and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends discrepancies and areas of improvement.
- Provide recommendations for cost savings efficiency improvements and financial strategies based on financial analysis.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in accounting with a focus on USbased financial operations.
- Familiarity with US GAAP tax regulations and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Zoho Books).
Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles financial statements and tax regulations in the US.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and data entry.
- Strong analytical problemsolving and organizational skills.
