Job Description
- CT Procedures: Conduct various computed tomography procedures including biopsies cardiac CT CT angiograms and postprocessing in collaboration with radiologists.
- Imaging Production: Operate CT equipment select appropriate technical factors and ensure proper identification and demographic accuracy on images.
- Patient Safety: Provide radiation protection for patients families and staff while adhering to safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records transfer and archive patient exams ensuring data security and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Training and Support: Train and orient fellow technologists resolve technical issues and develop inservice training materials.
- Operational Support: Manage radiology information systems and assist in maintaining PACS integrity.
- OnCall Duties: Be available for oncall shifts including weekends and holidays as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- A technical Diploma from a Radiology Program is required.
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by ARRT or NMTCB is required.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from a handson instructorled program (e.g. AHA or Red Cross) is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of CT technologist experience including pediatric imaging.
- Proficiency with EPIC systems and Siemens equipment is essential.
- Knowledge of CT imaging PACS and radiology information systems.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal organizational and time management skills.
