Job Description

Job Title: Patient Representative
Location: Minneapolis MN

Overview:
This role ensures a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors and patients at the clinic. The Patient Representative handles efficient checkin and checkout procedures schedules appointments collects copays and verifies insurance information while maintaining a patientcentered approach. The position may involve supporting other departments based on clinic needs.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Reception:

  • Provide a friendly and welcoming experience for all visitors and patients.
  • Assist with inquiries resolve nonclinical patient concerns and address complaints.
  • Arrange accommodations such as interpreter services as needed.
  • Oversee and maintain the waiting area ensuring smooth operations.
  • Validate parking and assist with patientrelated concerns.

Patient CheckIn and CheckOut:

  • Conduct patient registration including verification of demographics and insurance.
  • Collect copays issue receipts and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping.
  • Notify patients of appointment delays or schedule changes.

Appointment Management:

  • Schedule and manage patient appointments and procedures.
  • Coordinate complex visits involving multiple specialists or diagnostic services.
  • Verify insurance information through online systems.

Health Information Management:

  • Prepare patient records and charts including scanning and data entry into EMR systems.
  • Obtain and send medical records and test results to the appropriate providers.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in scheduling systems and EMR software.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize and adapt to a fastpaced environment.
  • Proven ability to learn new skills and processes quickly.
  • Minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Flowcast and online scheduling systems.
  • Familiarity with medical records and frontdesk procedures.

Education and Training:

  • Complete the Patient Representative and onthejob training program within five weeks of hire.

This role is critical in supporting clinic operations and ensuring a seamless experience for patients and visitors.
