• onducts individual patient assessment and interview and prioritizes the data collected to decide medical problem/condition and documents in a chart for the physician.
• Obtains and records the patients vital signs and weight.
• Aids physician with patient examination as needed.
• Performs specific treatments as ordered by the physician and under the supervision of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician.
• Reviews physicians orders lab requests or followup needs with patients.
• Performs proper treatments as ordered by and under the supervision of the physician or nurse practitioner.
• Documents services performed and patient assessment findings.
• Dresses wounds apply compresses ice bags and hot water bottles.
• Observe patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge.
• Administers specified medication orally or by subcutaneous or intermuscular injection and notes time and amount on patients charts.
• Initiates emergency resuscitation measures according to protocol.
