Job Description
Job Title: Ab Initio Tableau and Cognos Developer
Location: Fully Remote
Employment Type: Contract 12 Months
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Ab Initio Tableau and Cognos Developer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working on the design development and implementation of data integration visualization and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise across these platforms and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain ETL workflows and data pipelines using Ab Initio.
Create and optimize data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau to support business insights and decisionmaking.
Develop and maintain reports using Cognos to meet business requirements.
Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure the quality and performance of all data processing and reporting solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration visualization and reporting tools.
Collaborate with data architects analysts and business teams to align solutions with business goals.
Document workflows designs and processes to support knowledge sharing and system maintenance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
9 years of IT experience with at least 5 years of handson experience in Ab Initio development.
5 years of experience with Tableau and Cognos for data visualization and reporting.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong expertise in Ab Initio GDE Co>Operating System and related components.
Proficiency in Tableau for creating interactive dashboards and visualizations.
Handson experience with Cognos Framework Manager and Report Studio.
Solid understanding of ETL processes data warehousing and data modeling.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle SQL Server or DB2.
Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or UNIX shell scripting.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote setup.
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Hadoop or Spark.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Certifications in Tableau Cognos or Ab Initio are a plus.
