Job Description

Lead Teacher Intervention at KIPP Academy Lynn Charter School

KIPP Academy Lynn Charter School is looking for talented committed and culturally competent Intervention lead teachers who have the power to amplify our childrens potential by creating a school experience that affirms values and challenges students each day. We seek to create a professional and authentic environment of joy excellence care and community where educators can make longterm transformative outcomes for students.

This role requires consistent and reliable demonstration of the following essential job functions and key responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Classroom Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all children are affirmed valued and challenged every day

  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment

  • Prepare and internalize rigorous and engaging unit and daily lessons leveraging provided curricula/resources and intellectual preparation tools

  • When applicable may be asked to create and internalize academically aligned lesson plans unit plans rubrics and assessments

  • Set specific ambitious growth goals with all students and identify and leverage all necessary resources to ensure they meet them

  • Innovate on best practices to execute engaging differentiated instruction at a level rigorous for all students

  • Implement aligned schoolwide or gradelevel student culture systems and proactive classroom management strategies

  • Regularly analyze student work and academic data to modify lessons refine curricula and inform instructional practice

  • Maintain accurate uptodate student grades/records and initiate strong lines of communication with students and their families regularly regarding students growth and progress

School and Professional Responsibilities

General Requirements and Responsibilities

KIPP MA teachers are supported in their demanding work by experienced and dedicated leadership and staff who have themselves proven successful in the teaching role. Our leaders maintain consistent schoolwide systems and procedures academic behavioral cultural logistical designed to permit teachers to do their best work. 

In addition to the responsibilities listed above there will occasionally be other duties as assigned that teachers will engage in to help promote a positive and calm learning environment and culture.


Qualifications :

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Love and unwavering belief in the high potential of all students

  • Commitment to antiracism and equity

  • Demonstrated ability to drive student growth and achievement and to create a warm inclusive rigorous learning environment

  • Passion for subject/content area and demonstrated commitment to professional learning

  • 2 years of fulltime teaching experience

  • Bachelors Degree required

  • Pass Criminal Background Check

Additional Information :

What We Offer
The minimum base salary for this exempt position is $55000 to $89500 (per 1.0 FTE/45 hours per week) depending on years of experience after your Bachelors degree ($3000 for 1st advanced degree and $1500 for 2nd advanced degree). The role includes a $1000 signing bonusand an annual $2000 retention bonus in subsequent years as well as other bonuses when eligible.
