You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Special Education teacher youre an enthusiastic educator engaging in students innate curiosity to support our exceptional learners. You provide individualized instruction and support tailored to the diverse learning abilities of your students ensuring they reach their full potential. You work collaboratively to provide individualized and specialized programming and instruction through the IEP process that impacts student achievement. You understand the importance of compliance and how vital an IEP meeting can be for you your student and their family.
Position Type: Fulltime Exempt 10 months
Tentative Start Date: July 21 2025
On a daytoday basis you can look forward to the following:
Curriculum Development and Instruction
Prepares for and facilitates IEP meetings
Completes individual educational plans (IEP) in compliance with DESE.
Maintains complete records as required by law district policy and administrative regulation
Adapt and execute a rigorous standardsaligned curriculum
Develop academically rigorous lessons unit plans rubrics and assessments
Use data to inform instructional decisions
Provide students with daily feedback on performance and plan for individual learning needs
Help Build a Positive School and Classroom Culture
Embody and maintain schools values policies and culture
Develop positive relationships with students families teachers and staff
Establish and maintain strong communication with all parents and share progress
Effectively supervise and manage a classroom of up to 30 students
Show up for critical school events including staff meetings open houses parentteacher conferences and more
Demonstrate a Growth Mindset
Pursue challenging professional goals each year
Give and receive positive and constructive feedback from your colleagues
Participate in schoolwide and individual professional development

Operate a computer and office equipment on a daily basis
Proficiency in Google Suite
Occasional moderate lifting pushing and pulling
Maintain emotional control under stress
Interpret policy procedures and data
Communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree (REQUIRED)
Missouri Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical K12 Certification or valid Missouri Special Education Certification (REQUIRED)
Pass Criminal Background Check
Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap
