Machine Learning Research Lab provides AI solutions tailored for eCommerce. In the Language Intelligence product domain our mission is to ensure that language on international platforms supports effortless shopping and selling. We offer stateoftheart AI like Semantic Search and Machine Translation build AIbased automation tools and deliver scalable translation solutions at Allegro.
Are you passionate about shaping the future of translation and leveraging cuttingedge AI innovations We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead the Translation Platform engineering team driving largescale highquality translations to support Allegros international expansion. Collaborating with Language and Machine Learning experts you will work to continuously enhance translation processes delivering business value for Allegros international operations.
We are looking for people who:
Write code in Kotlin/TypeScript/Java or different highlevel programming language
Are seasoned experts in software development and system architecture
Take ownership of their teams development possess excellent communication skills and embrace the servant leadership approach.
Effectively manage and build relationships within a team of skilled engineers and across collaborating teams.
Listen actively motivate others provide constructive feedback and identify appropriate development activities for their team.
Have experience leading teams using agile methodologies.
Present technical work clearly contextualizing it within business risks.
Can work across disciplines with product engineering and research.
Align technical solutions with business objectives to deliver measurable value and excellence.
Enjoy constant developingupdating and sharing their knowledge
Know English language on at least B2 level (experience in managing Englishspeaking team members is a plus)
Additionally its a plus if you have:
Experience in AIbased solutions development and practical knowledge of ML algorithms
Experience with Pyton BigData and GCP

In your daily work you will handle the following tasks:
Own endtoend development of the translation platform including new features and integrations.
Ensure highquality highvolume and ontime delivery of translations across multiple markets and languages.
Identify and implement process improvements to optimize translation workflows and platform performance.
Allocate team resources efficiently based on priorities and ROI.
Lead the team in an agile environment fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Facilitate close cooperation with crossfunctional teams.
Actively shape the product and its development roadmap in partnership with the Product Manager.
Support team members growth by addressing individual preferences and needs fostering mastery autonomy and alignment with organizational goals.
