Body Verification Validation Engineer

What will you be doing 

As a Body Verification & Validation Engineer you will join our team in Coventry to support our activities within the Automotive sector.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Lead and coordinate verification & validation and certification activities in the Body Domain throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
• Test case development test plan management and test execution for Body Domain related functions and subsystems (e.g. Lighting Seating Climate Visibility Security Closures).
• Define and develop the verification strategy required to ensure robust feature delivery to customer (e.g. Simulation HIL rigs Local Test rigs Test GUIs Test Vehicle Specs).
• Provide feedback to stakeholders in support of software releases capturing appropriate data for comprehensive problem statements when issues arise.
• Produce and maintain engineering documentation as part of the development process (e.g. Test Plans Test Cases Automated Test Reports).
• Work alongside our partner OEMs and suppliers to perform test activities within their development framework and associated continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Perform issue triage and investigation and work with Systems Engineers to implement and verify bug fixes.
• Lead technical discussions with suppliers internal crossfunctional teams and our partner OEMs in relation to bugs found during testing.
• Execute and maintain a suite of regression tests to sign off on software functionality for each release.
• Develop and maintain test infrastructure to automate test execution result collection and analysis.

Who are we looking for 

• Automotive Testing Expert Deep experience in Body Domain functions (e.g. Lighting Seating Climate Security) with a strong track record in testing and validation.
• Test Development & Execution Pro Skilled in creating managing and executing detailed test cases and plans to ensure high standards of functionality and reliability.
• Verification Strategy Specialist Proficient in defining and implementing robust verification strategies with a focus on automation and continuous improvement in testing processes.
• Problem Solver & Troubleshooter Strong analytical skills to investigate issues effectively collaborating with Systems Engineers to deliver precise actionable fixes.
• Effective Communicator Able to lead discussions with suppliers partner OEMs and internal teams clearly presenting technical insights and issues.
• DetailOriented & Technically Proficient Comfortable producing highquality documentation managing regression testing and maintaining automated test infrastructure.

Qualifications :

Experience skills and qualifications required: 

• A Bachelors or Master Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or similar.
• Proven experience in automotive testing and validation particularly within Body Domain functions.
• Proficient in test case development planning and execution.
• Strong technical skills in verification strategy and automated testing procedures.
• Excellent problemsolving abilities and the capacity to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
