Systems Test Engineer

What will you be doing 

As a Systems Test you will join our Aberdeen team to support our activities within the Maritime sector. At ALTEN were offering a unique opportunity to contribute to cuttingedge underwater vision systems used in subsea exploration and hazardous environments. Be part of a team conducting sea trials and validating innovative technologies that shape the future of marine exploration.

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Plan and execute system tests including field trials for Bowtech products.
• Build configure and operate test rigs for handson validation and performance assessments.
• Conduct sea trials gathering critical performance data in realworld conditions.
• Capture analyze and document test data to ensure systems meet stringent quality standards.
• Compile detailed test reports presenting findings and providing insights for product improvement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to refine and optimize underwater vision solutions.

Qualifications :

Experience skills and qualifications required: 

• Bachelors or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics or related disciplines.
• Knowledge of subsea technologies or underwater vision systems is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in tools like LabVIEW MATLAB or similar systems is desirable.
• Exceptional documentation skills for reporting and analysis.
• 1 years of experience in systems testing or a similar field with handson test execution experience.
• Background in electronics mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
• Proficiency in setting up and conducting tests including field trials and data capture.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate test results and contribute to product enhancements.
• Familiarity with BPSS clearance requirements and secure handling of sensitive projects.
