Job Description
Are you a seasoned Platform Engineer with a passion for cuttingedge technology in the defence sector At ALTEN were offering a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that enhance national security. Collaborate with industry leaders utilizing your expertise to develop and maintain robust platforms for advanced underwater systems. Your contributions will directly impact the success of missions critical to our nations defence.
Location:
- Manchester.
- Hybrid working model with onsite requirements as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy containerized applications using technologies like Docker Podman and Kubernetes.
- Implement and manage development testing and automation tools within our IT infrastructure.
- Create and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines to streamline integration and delivery processes.
- Utilize scripting languages such as Shell and Python to automate tasks and improve system performance.
- Apply DevOps and Agile methodologies to enhance collaboration and productivity within crossfunctional teams.
- Manage configuration using tools like Git Jenkins and Jira to ensure code integrity and seamless project tracking.
Qualifications :
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in platform engineering or related fields.
- Proficiency in container deployment technologies: Docker Podman Kubernetes.
- Strong background in Linuxbased infrastructure management.
- Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with scripting languages: Shell Python.
- Understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
Security Clearance Requirement:
- Sole British citizenship.
- Eligibility to obtain security clearance.
