We are currently hiring for a Software Engineering Developer to play a key role in our Land division Core Network team! We are looking for someone who thrives in a lab environment and is passionate about Networking. Here is a little more about what you could expect
Network Engineering:
- Perform layout configuration and deployment of network systems including LANs WANs and wireless networks to meet performance and scalability requirements.
- Support the implementation and troubleshooting of network systems ensuring reliable connectivity and performance.
- Monitor network performance and assist in identifying and resolving issues such as latency packet loss or connection failures.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to execute test plans troubleshoot and validate software configurations.
- Document test results integration procedures and technical observations for project tracking and knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams to identify and resolve integration challenges.
Lab Administration and Support:
- Set up and maintain test environments for software testing including installation and configuration of systems and tools.
- Manage lab resources including software licenses test devices and hardware.
- Track lab inventory and ensure the availability of required tools and equipment.
- Enforce lab policies ensuring compliance with safety security and operational standards.
- Provide technical support to team members using the lab troubleshooting network issues and ensuring smooth operation.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Computer or Network Engineering Information Technology or a related field.
- 1 year working in an Engineering Environment would be an asset
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git) and issuetracking platforms (e.g. JIRA) is desirable.
- Education and/or certification in networking related course.
- Understanding of virtualization products: vCentre ESXi vSphere NSXT vRealise Suite HyperV.
- Knowledge of Windows Server Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) Active Directory DNS Configuration and Group Policy.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python Bash or similar for automation tasks.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Handson experience with lab environments or software testing tools is a plus.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
