- During your thesis you will collaborate with a crossfunctional team of researchers and optical engineers on the development of novel optical systems.
- You will review academic literature to build custom stateoftheart optical modeling and design tools.
- These tools you will integrate in existing simulation pipeline with commercial and inhouse developed software.
- Furthermore your master thesis will discuss the design of an optical element with applications in novel display architectures.
- Ideally your work contributes to a joint scientific publication.
Qualifications :
- Education: Master studies in the field of Optics/Photonics Physics Computer Science Electrical Engineering or comparable
- Experience and Knowledge: deep knowledge in scientific programming with Python and in technical optics; previous experience with commercial optical design tools and in the design of lenses freeforms diffractive optics meta optics or holographic optical elements is a plus
- Personality and Working Practice: you effectively build trust by delivering on commitments engaging in regular discussions with colleagues and encouraging collaboration to enhance team cohesion and performance
- Languages: fluent in English or German
