Job Description

  • As a key driver of system engineering activities you lead the definition of new product architectures during acquisition phases with multiple OEMs ensuring solutions align with customer needs and project goals.

  • You take charge of product engineering conducting feasibility studies risk assessments audits and customer and quality assessments to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle.

  • You define and manage system requirements such as feature lists and target specifications while coordinating with domain owners (Hardware Mechanics Software) to ensure accurate allocation of features.

  • Overseeing the integration of complex system architectures you ensure compliance with ASPICE and ISO26262 functional safety standards embedding these considerations into system requirements and design processes.

  • In ongoing discussions with customers you clarify technical requirements and coordinate with system test teams and other internal experts early in the requirements analysis phase.

  • Working closely with feature owners and architects you assess system design options to establish an optimal system concept including the hardware/software architecture and critical components like microprocessors and/or SoCs

Required Experience and Skills

  • Education: completed university studies in electrical engineering computer science or a comparable subject

  • Experience and Knowledge: Deep technical knowledge of infotainment and connectivity products also a good understanding of dependencies between software electronics and mechanics; good knowledge especially in requirement engineering and change management processes; Broad technical skills in one of the infotainment product areas like connectivity and/or infotainment product design e.g. Cellular Networks GNSS BT/WiFi; e.g. Integration of Linux and/or Android OS in automotive applications; network communication protocols or other expertise e.g. CAN(FD) (Automotive) Ethernet AVB and other standards

  • Personality and Working Practice: Your strong communication and persuasive skills enable you to effectively communicate with customers feature owners and architects at a technical level supported by your analytical mindset and goaloriented approach.

  • Enthusiasm: Passion for innovative technology

  • Languages: very good communication skills in written and spoken Japanese (native) and English

  • Experience in automotive development

English Proficiency

  • Frequent use of English especially in international team meetings

Frequency of English Usage

  • English is always used in internal meetings with international teams
