Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supermarket Supervisor to join our team in Mozambique Mozambique. As a Supermarket Supervisor you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining a wellorganized and efficient store environment.
- Lead and manage a team of supermarket staff including scheduling training and performance evaluations
- Ensure high standards of customer service and address customer inquiries and complaints promptly
- Oversee inventory management including stock ordering receiving and rotation
- Manage cash handling procedures and prepare financial reports
- Maintain store cleanliness organization and adherence to food safety standards
- Implement and monitor loss prevention strategies
- Collaborate with department managers to optimize store layout and product placement
- Resolve conflicts and address employee concerns in a professional manner
- Assist in developing and implementing promotional activities and sales strategies
- Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and relevant regulations
Qualifications :
- Bachelor Degree or High school diploma or equivalent
- 23 years of experience in retail management or supervisory role preferably in grocery or supermarket operations
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in inventory management and cash handling procedures
- Solid problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Computer literacy including experience with POS systems and inventory software
- High school diploma required; Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- Food safety certification (e.g. ServSafe) preferred
- Knowledge of retail operations best practices and food safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- Fluency in Portuguese and English is highly desirable
