Job Description

Outsie IR35 Educational Psychologist

Position Overview: Educational Psychologists work with children and young people to support their learning behaviour and social adjustment. They utilize their expertise in psychological and educational assessment to assist children facing difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consultation: Work with schools or nurseries concerned about a childs development.
  • Assessment: Evaluate a childs progress and adjust management plans accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Partner with teachers student counsellors and other professionals.
  • Parental Engagement: Meet with parents to discuss their childs experiences concerns and potential interventions.
  • Diagnosis: Identify conditions such as literacy and dyslexia numeracy and dyscalculia and Autism Spectrum Disorders.


Requirements

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Sensitivity tact and diplomacy in interactions.
  • OpenMindedness: Curiosity and a willingness to explore new ideas.
  • ResearchOriented: A strong inclination towards research and evidencebased practices.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Educational Psychology or a related field.
  • Relevant certification or licensure as required by local regulations.

Work Environment: Educational Psychologists typically work in schools nurseries or educational institutions collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support childrens development.
