Job Overview

Job Title: Physician Psychiatry

Job Type: Locum Tenens

Location: Huntingdon PA

Service Setting: Hospital (Inpatient)

Coverage Type: 24Hour On Call

Coverage Period: 01/06/2025 04/07/2025 (13 weeks)

Clinical Shift Schedule: 24hour call coverage 2 weeks on/2 weeks off (may vary based on weekend rotation)

OnCall Shift Schedule: Call coverage starts at 8:00 AM on the first shift and ends at 8:00 AM on the last shift

Patient Volume/Census: TBD

Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital

No. of Beds: 26

EMR System: Cerner

Support Staff Available: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

Privileges & Compliance

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (2 3 weeks for temporary privileges 60 90 days for full privileges)

Credentialing Timeline: 60 90 days for full privileges

Compensation & Benefits

Rate: TBD

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Not Covered

Required Procedures

Overnight call responsibilities including admission orders and addressing emergent psychiatric issues

Job Requirements

Licenses: Active Pennsylvania License (required)

Certifications: Board Certification in Psychiatry (required) DEA (required)

Experience: Minimum 1 2 years in specialty

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide highquality psychiatric care in an inpatient hospital setting

Collaborate effectively with support staff including PMHNPs

Respond promptly to overnight calls ensuring patient safety and addressing emergent psychiatric issues

Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in Cerner EMR
