Job Description

We require a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to lead our Food and Beverage team on a fulltime basis at our Oaks Melbourne St Kilda Road Hotel.

 

As the Food and Beverage Manager you will: 

  • Ensure smooth and efficient daily floor operations of the restaurant and bar
  • Managing the daytoday profitability presentation and operation of the restaurant and bar
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the companys food and beverage features to promote to clients
  • Managing leading and motivating staff to ensure a high preforming team culture is maintained
  • Work closely with the General Manager and marketing department to develop marketing material and promotions for the Food and Beverage department
  • Roster according to department needs
  • Create budgets and monitor financial performance of the Food and Beverage department

Qualifications :

To be a success in this position you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years managerial experience gained in a similar role
  • A current RSA certificate
  • Strong staff management experience with the ability to lead develop and motivate a high preforming team
  • Ability to generate and implement revenue building ideas throughout the Food and Beverage department
  • Solid understanding of alcohol
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and an unwavering positive attitude.
  • A high level of selfmotivation and confidence.
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar (preferred but not essential)
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
