Job Description
As a Senior Construction Buyer you will:
- Be in charge of the procurement plan for projects involving earthworks demolitions and civil works;
- Take off and schedule materials from drawings and specifications;
- Collaborate with BESIX Group Procurement category managers to leverage optimal conditions for specific projects;
- Send out supplier tender inquiries and analyse the received responses;
- Source select and negotiate the best purchase packages considering quality price terms delivery and services with suppliers and contractors;
- Prepare purchase documents and issue orders in accordance with specifications;
- Assist construction sites with daily plant and materials requirements;
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure ontime delivery;
- Deal with site or supplier delivery and invoice queries;
- Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders and documents in compliance with company policies and procedures;
- Report to the head of Purchasing of the Oosterweel Project.
Qualifications :
- You have a bachelors or masters degree in Engineering or in Finance;
- You have prior experience as a Construction Buyer ideally with infrastructure projects;
- You have at least 25 year experience in the purchase of construction works;
- You have good knowledge of materials used in groundworks;
- You have strong negotiation skills;
- You have commercial sensitivity;
- You are openminded and an active listener;
- You are a team player and you have good communication skills;
- You have good knowledge of MS Office;
- You have a professional knowledge of Dutch and English.
