Job Description
Areas of Responsibility
- Deep understanding of laser photonics CMOS and systemlevel concepts
- Drive pre & postsilicon customer engagements
- Establish a proactive customer support platform
- Lead the System Validation Strategy and New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Make Critical Decisions and Develop Test Software and Infrastructure
Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of experience
- Industry experience in semiconductor laser & photonic devices system test & applications support.
- Deep understanding of communication protocols and standards (Ethernet PCIe etc.)
- Comprehensive knowledge of Embedded software programming
- Experience with system and subsystem test equipment (BERT DCA OSA etc.) and standard signal quality metrics (TDECQ SRS URS).
- Knowledge of highspeed SerDes and their system validation & optimization.
- Proficient in programming languages such as C C Python and Shell scripts
- Knowledge of optical transceiver packaging and integration challenges
- Develop comprehensive reference design systems & technology showcase demonstrations of optical IO chiplets for PCIe and Ethernet applications.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams to establish a robust framework for engineering support. Create and own comprehensive technical documentation including user guides integration guides and application notes.
- Define and implement comprehensive systemlevel validation methodologies that guarantee our products meet systemlevel product requirements. This includes developing test plans defining success criteria and selecting appropriate test equipment and methodologies.
- Collaborate with Design Package and Reliability Engineering to ensure a smooth and successful transition of products from development to mass production.
- Drive decisions around design tradeoffs and specification adjustments balancing performance manufacturability and timetomarket to ensure products are ready for customer deployment
