Job Description
- Follow the prescriptions of radiation oncologists to work out a treatment plan that delivers the precise radiation dosage to the localized area.
- Localize the treatment volume using simulators and/or CAT scans.
- Develop patient treatment plans using the localization data and dedicated planning computers.
- Explain procedures to patients.
- Position patients on treatment couches.
- Identify surface bones and measure and outline with a skin marker the area where the radiation beam is to enter the patient.
- Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety Goals.
- Contributes to improving clinical patient safety.
- Provides on call services as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirement description :
- 1 Years of Radiation Therapy Experience Required
- Knowledge of all radiation oncology techniques oncologic pathology anatomy and physiology treatment planning procedures and dosimetry Required
- ARRT Required
- Kentucky License Required
- Experience with Epic and Mosaiq Highly Preferred
- Updated Resum /Work History
- Pertinent Skill Checklist
- 2 Current Supervisory Professional References
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- BLS
- ARRT
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
- Kentucky
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Must be active!
