Job Description
WELDER
Summary of Welder Duties & Responsibilities
The Welder is responsible for production welding a variety of assemblies and setup operating and
light maintenance of production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
lAdhere to all safety policies and procedures.
lAdhere to all safety policies and the use of all PPE and safe work practice.
lAdhere to project schedules and meet deadlines.
lApply knowledge of different welding techniques such as MIG TIG or arc welding.
lAssess priorities to determine what is urgently needed.
lConduct weldability tests on different types of metals.
lDevelop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts blueprints and work orders.
lDocument work progress and maintain accurate welding records.
lEnsure compliance with established health / safety policies and regulations.
lEnsure compliance with welding codes standards and regulations.
lEstimate material and time requirements for welding projects.
lEvaluate finished products and perform quality checks on products.
lExecute instructions from job cards weld schedules part prints.
lFabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the use of welding equipment.
lInterpret and understand welding blueprints and specifications.
