The System Tester plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of complete systems by identifying defects as early as possible in the development lifecycle. This role involves defining and setting up test systems executing tests and automating system testing processes. Collaborating within a crosslocation Agile team the System Tester ensures smooth and effective testing practices while adhering to Agile principles
Key areas of responsibility are:
- Define set up and maintain test systems for evaluating the System Under Test (SysUT).
- Focus on Q3 and Q4 tests as outlined in the Agile Testing Quadrants covering systemlevel and nonfunctional testing.
- Design and define test cases writing test scripts to validate specifications.
- Determine the appropriate balance between manual and automated tests and execute them efficiently.
- Conduct daily testing exploratory testing and release testing to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with developers testers and stakeholders across multiple locations to align on test strategies and outcomes.
- Analyze and report test results identifying and submitting defects for resolution.
- Operate in alignment with Agile principles contributing to the teams success.
- Develop and execute automated system tests using programming languages like C#.
- Occasionally travel abroad 2 or 3 times a year for approximately one week per trip to foster collaboration and gain handson exposure to the systems under test (if required).
Qualifications :
What distinguishes you:
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) to facilitate crosslocation communication.
- Ability to set up install and maintain test systems independently.
- Experience in testing frontend applications including browser compatibility testing.
- Expertise in writing blackbox and GUI test cases.
- Familiarity with Gherkin scenarios (BehaviorDriven Testing).
- Skilled in creating and executing happy flows alternative flows and sad flows.
- Handson experience in both Functional Testing and NonFunctional Testing (e.g. scalability reliability).
- Proficiency in automating tests using programming languages such as C#.
Necessary knowhow / skills:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Electronics Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Strong system and product knowledge from the perspectives of various stakeholders (e.g. users installers).
- Comprehensive understanding of hardware and software systems.
- Familiarity with the Agile Testing Quadrants and Agile principles.
- Analytical creative and abstract thinker with a strong ability to solve complex problems.
- Work effectively in a crosslocation environment leveraging tools and practices to maintain seamless
communication and collaboration
