Job Description
Required Skills:
Experience: 4 years of experience in Power BI development including designing and building reports and dashboards.
Proficiency in Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service: Indepth knowledge of Power BI tools report publishing and sharing reports in the Power BI Service.
Data Modeling Skills: Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts (Star Schema Snowflake Schema) and building complex relationships between tables.
DAX Knowledge: Advanced proficiency in DAX for creating calculated columns measures and custom calculations.
ETL Tools & Data Transformation: Expertise in using Power Query for data extraction transformation and loading (ETL).
SQL Knowledge: Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases and working with large datasets.
Visualization: Experience creating visually appealing and intuitive Power BI reports and dashboards with best practices for design and usability.
Performance Optimization: Knowledge of techniques to optimize large datasets queries and report performance.
Power BI Security: Experience with setting up rowlevel security (RLS) to restrict access to data.
Cloud & Data Integration: Familiarity with cloudbased data sources (e.g. Azure SQL Database SharePoint Google Analytics).
Version Control: Experience with source control management (e.g. Git) for tracking report development versions.
Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and deliver insights in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred Skills:
Power BI Embedded: Experience embedding Power BI reports into web applications or other platforms.
Power Automate & Power Apps: Familiarity with integrating Power BI with Power Automate or Power Apps to automate workflows.
Experience with Data Warehousing: Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Microsoft Certification: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Exam DA100) or equivalent certifications.
