As a Staff Accountant at Unity Communications youll handle essential accounting functions from preparing monthly financial reports to supporting audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. How You Spend Your Eight Hours
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Support internal and external audits with required documentation and analysis
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Process and review journal entries accruals and adjustments
- Collaborate with teams to ensure financial data accuracy
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the accounting function
- Take on ad hoc tasks as assigned
What You Must Possess
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or any related fields
- CPA certification or equivalent (preferred)
- At least two years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software preferably Sage X3 and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and organizational abilities
- Keen attention to detail with effective communication and interpersonal skills
