Job Summary:
We are seeking a Visual Design Specialist with expertise in color theory and a passion for creating visually stunning templates and materials. This role involves designing cohesive and professional templates for Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint Word Excel) and applying scientific knowledge of color to enhance the presentation of our maps and graphic products. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for design a deep understanding of color psychology and the ability to create visually appealing products that align with branding standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Colour and Design Expertise:
Develop and apply scientifically accurate color schemes to ensure professional and visually appealing outputs.
Ensure color choices align with industry standards and convey the intended message effectively.
Maintain consistency in color usage across all templates and materials.
2. Template Design:
Create customized Microsoft PowerPoint Word and Excel templates with cohesive colors fonts and layouts.
Ensure templates meet the companys branding and professional standards.
Design reusable components that enhance productivity and maintain uniformity in documents and presentations.
3. Brand Consistency:
Work closely with the marketing and technical teams to align all designs with company branding.
Recommend improvements to current templates and design practices to reflect a modern and professional image.
4. Collaboration:
Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements for template creation and visual design projects.
Guide the best color schemes and layouts for maps and graphic materials.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Educational Background:
Bachelors degree in graphic design Fine Arts Visual Communications or a related field.
Certifications in UI/UX Design or Color Theory are a plus.
2. Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint Word and Excel template design.
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator Photoshop or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of color theory and its applications in professional settings.
3. Experience:
3 years of experience in a designfocused role with proven expertise in creating professional templates.
Demonstrated ability to select and apply colors based on psychological and scientific principles.
Experience working with economic or statistical data is more important than mining or geology.
4. Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple design projects effectively.
