Overall Responsibilities:
As the Financial Controller of the Manufacturing and Trading Company you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business operations. Your primary goal will be to ensure the companys financial stability accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will play a crucial role in strategic decisionmaking and providing financial insights to support the companys growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide clear and concise financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and analyze variances between actual results and projections.
- Provide recommendations to optimize spending and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Financial Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles tax regulations and other financial laws.
- Coordinate with external auditors and oversee the annual audit process.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity to meet the companys financial obligations.
- Develop strategies to optimize working capital and minimize financial risks.
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic planning initiatives.
- Assess the financial feasibility of new projects and investments.
- Cost Management:
- Analyze production costs overheads and operational expenses to identify costsaving opportunities.
- Implement cost control measures without compromising quality and operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership:
- Oversee the finance team providing guidance and support to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance department.
- Banking and Treasury:
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Coordinate treasury functions including cash management loans and credit facilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in finance Accounting or a related field. A masters degree or CPA qualification is advantageous.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior financial management role within the manufacturing and trading industry for minimum (5) years.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial regulations and tax laws relevant to the sector.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct in handling financial matters.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
