The Sr. Atlassian Product/Jira Expert is a vital role within our organization dedicated to enhancing project management practices through the effective use of Atlassian tools primarily Jira. This expert will lead the strategic deployment configuration and optimization of Jira across various teams to ensure seamless project tracking reporting and collaboration. As a key contributor the Sr. Atlassian Product/Jira Expert will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify their needs and resolve challenges ensuring that Jira is tailored to fit the unique workflows of the organization. Your expertise will not only improve team efficiency but also significantly enhance our overall project outputs. Furthermore staying abreast of Atlassian product updates and industry best practices will be crucial in driving innovation and continuous improvement within our teams. Your role will encompass training support and guidance for users solidifying the importance of this position in fostering a productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Jira configurations tailored to project requirements.
- Administer and maintain Atlassian software including Jira and Confluence.
- Provide expert consulting on Agile project management methodologies.
- Develop and execute user training programs to improve Jira utilization.
- Collaborate with teams to define requirements and translate them into Jira workflows.
- Monitor and optimize Jira performance and user engagement metrics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Jirarelated issues for endusers.
- Prepare and present reports on Jira usage and project statuses to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with Atlassian product roadmaps and implement new features.
- Integrate Jira with other tools and applications to enhance functionality.
- Support and mentor team members in Agile best practices.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on project management tools.
- Advocate for process improvements to streamline project workflows.
- Manage user permissions and access controls within Jira.
- Establish guidelines for documenting processes within Confluence.
Responsibilities
Subject Matter expert providing configuration & Level 3 support across multiple Jira instances
Serves as technical lead providing indepth troubleshooting
Create and maintain detailed technical and userfacing documentation for internal reports and dashboards
Advise/Propose custom workflows fields permission schemes post functions etc.
Serve as internal SME on the JIRA tool
Consult on ways to optimize and improve Jira setup and process workflows and identify where functionality
can or cannot meet user requests
Stabilize and improve the operations and use of the JIRA platforms
Review the current configuration license utilization dashboards reports automation rules workflows
webhooks and make recommendations for optimization and improvements
Review of various JIRA Software projects and use of common platform workflows.
Make recommendations to reduce duplications conflicts or highrisk configurations
Works with all levels of the business to understand requirements and provide solutions
Provide recommendations to end users and leaders on best practices and standardization in implementing and
leveraging processes within Jira
Qualifications
Required Skills
1.68 years of experience with JIRA administration Atlassian product suite and agile project management.
2.Expertlevel knowledge of JIRA Software JIRA Service Management Confluence and Bitbucket.
3.Strong understanding of JIRA Query Language (JQL) custom workflows permission schemes custom fields
and automation rules.
4.Experience with integrating Atlassian tools with other enterprise systems (e.g. Git Jenkins Slack
ServiceNow etc.).
5.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban) and experience implementing them using
bitbucket,atlassian product suite,agile project management,permission schemes,jira software,stakeholder engagement,custom workflows,custom fields,scrum,process optimization,jira query language (jql),project management,integration with enterprise systems,jira administration,agile methodologies,jira,team collaboration,jira service management,kanban,agile methodology,automation rules,confluence
