Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans test cases and test scripts.
- Perform functional regression and performance testing on new software releases.
- Identify and document defects found during testing activities.
- Collaborate with development teams to clarify and troubleshoot issues.
- Analyze testing results and provide actionable insights to the development team.
- Maintain and update test documentation and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures.
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members in testing practices.
- Implement quality control measures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct peer reviews of testing documentation and results.
- Participate in project planning sessions and provide quality assurance input.
- Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for test automation.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software quality assurance.
- Provide training and support to team members on quality assurance tools.
- Facilitate communication between project teams and key stakeholders regarding quality issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.
- Proficiency in testing methodologies and practices.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus.
- Proficient in using bug tracking and test management tools.
- Experience in preparing and delivering testing status reports.
- A readiness to adapt to different business environments and technologies.
- Ability to investigate troubleshoot and solve complex issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
