Overview
The UI/UX Intern will play a critical role in the design and development of engaging user experiences for our digital products. This is a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain handson experience in UI/UX design and research while working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic remote work environment. The intern will learn the ins and outs of usercentered design principles and methods contributing to the creation of intuitive interfaces and visually appealing designs that resonate with users. This position requires a blend of creativity analytical thinking and a passion for improving user experiences. By actively participating in various stages of the design process the intern will enhance their skillset build a professional portfolio and establish a foundation for a successful career in the field of UI/UX.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting user research to gather insights and understand user needs.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative design ideas.
- Create wireframes mockups and prototypes to visualize design concepts.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop user interface components.
- Conduct usability testing to gather user feedback on designs.
- Help refine design solutions based on stakeholder feedback and user data.
- Support the creation of design specifications and style guides.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive critiques.
- Stay updated with industry trends tools and best practices in UI/UX design.
- Document design processes and user findings for future reference.
- Contribute to project management tasks to assist in meeting deadlines.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a design system for consistency.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure design feasibility and implementation.
- Engage in continuous learning opportunities provided by the team.
- Prepare presentations of design work for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design Interaction Design HCI or a related field.
- Solid understanding of the principles of design color theory and typography.
- Familiarity with design software such as Adobe XD Sketch or Figma.
- Basic knowledge of HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on usercentered design.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problemsolving and criticalthinking abilities.
- Detailoriented with a passion for creating effective user experiences.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
- Creative mindset with a genuine interest in UI/UX design.
- A portfolio showcasing design work or projects is preferred.
- Familiar with conducting user testing and research methodologies is a plus.
- Strong willingness to learn and take constructive feedback.
- Availability for a minimum of 1015 hours per week.
