Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain data transformation workflows using DBT.
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration with source systems.
- Implement and manage data models to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Create robust testing frameworks to validate data transformations and outputs.
- Optimize performance of existing DBT models and queries.
- Document data models transformation processes and business logic clearly.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements.
- Support the deployment of DBT models in multiple environments (development staging production).
- Maintain version control and use Git for collaboration on data projects.
- Integrate DBT with various data tools and platforms (e.g. Snowflake BigQuery).
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to peers on best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and features in the DBT ecosystem.
- Participate in data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with data policies.
- Assist in training team members on DBT and best practices.
- Develop supportive relationships with crossfunctional teams to enhance data analytics capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Science or related field.
- Proficient in SQL and experience with database management systems.
- Strong background in data modeling and ETL processes.
- Experience with version control systems particularly Git.
- Familiarity with cloudbased data platforms (e.g. Snowflake Google BigQuery AWS).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) is a plus.
- Experience with data quality and testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a teamoriented environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Agile methodologies is beneficial.
- Detailoriented with a focus on delivering highquality data solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Experience in mentoring junior staff or training team members is a plus.
