Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements.
- Implement API integrations for the seamless exchange of data.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Write clean maintainable and efficient code following coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve production issues as they arise.
- Participate in design discussions and provide technical insights.
- Work closely with product managers to understand user requirements.
- Develop and execute tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of software development trends and best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and support their growth within the team.
- Use version control systems like Git to manage codebase.
- Contribute to system architecture design and improvement.
- Document technical specifications and application features.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5 years of experience in software development preferably with Ruby on Rails.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript CSS and HTML.
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Familiarity with SQL and database systems like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles.
- Proven experience in Agile methodologies and software development life cycle.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a team.
- Experience in cloud services such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks like RSpec or similar.
- Passion for technology and staying updated with industry trends.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
