Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report significant changes.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
- Document patient progress and care provided accurately in medical records.
- Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Assist in preparing patients for examinations and procedures.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide emotional support.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and ethics in patient care.
- Participate in department meetings and share insights for improvement.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Completed GNM or B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing license or registration from local nursing council.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of nursing principles and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment.
- Demonstrated empathy and compassion for patients.
- Proficiency in patient care documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminologies and concepts.
- Capability to perform basic clinical procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
- Adaptability to changing patient needs and healthcare challenges.
