Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications on the Heroku platform.
- Design privacyfirst features that comply with data privacy regulations.
- Integrate APIs for seamless data flow while ensuring data protection.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on data handling policies.
- Implement strong authentication and authorization methods.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain documentation for all developments.
- Perform regular security audits and maintain privacy compliance.
- Leverage Heroku addons for enhanced data privacy functionalities.
- Monitor application performance and respond to technical issues.
- Design and optimize database solutions using SQL.
- Work with analytics teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Assist in creating training materials on data privacy principles for staff.
- Stay updated on data privacy regulations and best practices.
- Contribute to team meetings with innovative ideas for improving privacy services.
- Ensure all developments are tested thoroughly before deployment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- 4 years of experience with Heroku development.
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR CCPA).
- Experience in building secure scalable applications.
- Proficiency in languages like JavaScript Node.js or Python.
- Handson experience with the Heroku platform.
- Experience with API integration and management.
- Knowledge of cloud computing and data storage security.
- Familiarity with data encryption and anonymization techniques.
- Strong problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus.
- Experience in a similar industry or role is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in data privacy or software development are advantageous.
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
