Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable School Counselor specializing in college counseling to join our team. In this role you will provide guidance to high school students as they navigate the college admissions process helping them make informed decisions about their educational and career goals. This position is ideal for someone who is studentfocused familiar with college admissions and skilled at fostering strong relationships in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- College Admissions Guidance: Advise students on all aspects of the college admissions process including college selection application timelines essay writing financial aid options and interview preparation.
- Academic Planning: Assist students in selecting courses that align with their academic and career goals ensuring they meet college prerequisites and graduation requirements.
- Career Exploration: Support students in identifying and exploring potential career paths including sharing resources on internships extracurricular activities and precollege programs.
- Workshops and Seminars: Lead group workshops on college application best practices financial aid SAT/ACT preparation and other collegerelated topics.
- Student Development: Provide general guidance on managing academic stress building time management skills and fostering a growth mindset.
- Individualized Support: Develop tailored counseling plans for each student focusing on their unique strengths interests and challenges.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Counseling Education Psychology or a related field. A Master s degree in School Counseling or Education is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of counseling experience in a school setting is required with a strong preference for experience in college admissions counseling.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to connect with high school students and guide them in an online environment.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with U.S. and/or international college admissions processes including knowledge of competitive college admissions practices.
- Technology: Comfortable with digital counseling platforms and virtual communication tools (e.g. Zoom Google Meet college counseling software).
