Hive and SQL Specialist with Product Ownership & Incident Management

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled professional with a robust background in Hive and SQL combined with experience in Product Owner responsibilities particularly within Incident Management. This hybrid role requires a balance of technical expertise strategic planning and strong communication to drive product development and ensure efficient incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise
- Manage and analyze large datasets using Hive and SQL ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
- Develop maintain and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to design and implement scalable efficient data solutions.
Product Ownership
- Serve as the Product Owner for Incident Management defining and prioritizing product backlogs to align with business objectives.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders create user stories and articulate a clear product vision.
- Lead agile ceremonies (sprint planning daily standups retrospectives) to ensure focused and efficient product development cycles.
Incident Management
- Oversee the incident management lifecycle ensuring prompt resolution of incidents to minimize downtime.
- Establish and implement policies and procedures for incident management to improve system reliability.
- Work with crossfunctional teams to identify root causes implement corrective actions and develop preventative strategies.
Collaboration and Communication
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across teams to foster alignment and cooperation.
- Provide regular updates on product development progress incident management status and performance metrics to senior management.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions to upskill teams in best practices and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Hive and SQL with experience in data management analytics and ETL pipeline development.
- Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner particularly in incident management environments.
- Strong understanding of incident management frameworks root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage stakeholders and crossfunctional teams effectively.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in data engineering or analytics roles.
- Certifications in Product Ownership or Incident Management.
- Knowledge of additional big data technologies and tools.
