Evening OPD Consultant Ophthalmologist
Location: Sarjapur Road Bangalore
The Evening OPD Consultant Ophthalmologist plays a crucial role in providing highquality eye care services at our clinic located on Sarjapur Road in Bangalore. This parttime role requires a dedicated and skilled ophthalmologist to attend to patients during the evening hours delivering compassionate and expert assessment and treatment for various ocular conditions. As the first point of contact the consultant will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a wide range of ophthalmic disorders thereby helping improve the overall eye health of the community. The consultant will work collaboratively with support staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. This position is essential for maintaining a high standard of eye health services during the evening hours accommodating patients who may not be able to seek care during regular working hours. The ideal candidate will be passionate about eye health with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement in clinical practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough eye examinations and assessments.
- Diagnose various ocular conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments.
- Perform minor surgical procedures as necessary.
- Provide patient education on eye health management.
- Review patient medical history and assess ocular symptoms.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Supervise and train medical staff and interns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic patient care.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology.

- Handle emergencies and urgent cases effectively.
- Participate in continued medical education (CME) programs.

Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical college.
- Postgraduate degree (MD/MS) in Ophthalmology.
- State medical council registration.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ophthalmology.
- Proven surgical skills in performing eye procedures.
- Strong diagnostic skills for various ophthalmic conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
