Psychiatric Nurse
Location: Elko NV
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive care by implementing individualized plans including medication administration specimen collection clinical treatments and other medical interventions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care provided to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
- Monitoring & Communication: Regularly monitor and record patient conditions communicating updates to the care team physicians patients and their families.
- Activities of Daily Living: Assist patients with essential activities such as personal hygiene nutrition elimination and mobility.
- Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care including transfers discharges referrals and addressing spiritual and psychosocial needs.
- Patient Education: Assess the learning needs of patients and their families providing tailored education that considers age culture and specific circumstances.
- Advocacy: Serve as a strong advocate for the physical and emotional wellbeing of each patient.
Qualifications
- Valid NV RN license.
- Associate degree in Nursing or higher.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar setting is preferred.
